Entrepreneurs and veterans alike received a powerful boost of inspiration and practical knowledge as Robert Ritch, Chairman of Ritch Ventures, led two impactful sessions focused on “Access to Capital” and smart business funding.
At Hustle Bar, business owners gathered for an event hosted by the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and the 26 West Center at State College of Florida. Ritch walked attendees through a comprehensive look at funding strategies, covering debt, equity, crowdfunding, revenue sharing, leasing, and how to combine these tools effectively to fund a business. The evening sparked lively discussion and left the room energized with new ideas and renewed motivation.
A couple of weeks prior, Ritch also spoke to the Veterans Florida business cohort at 26 West, sharing insights tailored to veterans and military spouses who are building their own ventures. His talk offered actionable funding guidance and encouraged mission-driven leadership.
Beyond his role as Chairman of Ritch Ventures, Ritch is a committed advocate for small businesses through the nonprofit, Big Dreams Through Small Steps, which connects aspiring entrepreneurs and underserved families with the resources they need to succeed. As part of his mission to give back, Ritch donates any speaking fees he receives directly to the nonprofit, turning every engagement into an opportunity to support and uplift the community.
“These conversations are what fuel progress,” said Ritch. “Whether it's at Hustle Bar or with our veteran founders, I’m always grateful for the opportunity to listen, share, and support the builders of our community.”
The back-to-back events reflected a growing momentum for entrepreneur education and collaboration across the Suncoast region.
